Understanding Clan MacDubhsith

Clan MacDubhsith, known for its rich Scottish roots and vibrant history, has established a strong community across Canada. As members of the MacFie Clan Society in Canada, we aim to honor our ancestry while fostering connections among clan members through shared traditions and events.

Cultural Events in 2025:

One of the best ways to engage with fellow Clan MacFie members is by hosting a Clan Booth, or assisting a Clan Member hosting a booth, at various Highland Games and Festivals. These events not only celebrate our heritage but also allow us to connect, share stories, and enjoy our culture. Valued members hosted Clan Booths at the following events in 2025:

• Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival in New Brunswick: Douglas MacFie represented our Clan in outstanding fashion with an excellent Clan Booth here June 10-14.
• Penticton Scottish Festival in British Columbia: Jan Stenseth hosted our Clan MacFie Booth for the 3rd year in a row July 4-5, this time with her McPhie Family Reunion of 40 people attending the Festival as honoured guests.
• Antigonish Highland Games in Nova Scotia: Wendy MacPhee Beckett was our fabulous representative hosting the Clan MacFie Booth July 6-13.
• New Brunswick Highland Games in Fredericton NB: Wendy MacPhee Beckett was busy this summer - She hosted the Clan MacFie Booth in a second province! July 25-27.
• Glengarry Highland Games & Tartan Ball in Ontario: Douglas MacFie once again hosted our Clan Booth (a 2nd province for him, too!) Aug 1-2.
• Fergus Scottish Festival in Ontario: Our Society President, Gary MacPhie hosted our Clan Booth at this event Aug 8-10.

The MacFie Clan Society publishes "The Torch", a newsletter for our Members, two to three times a year. We showcase member achievements, post event announcements and updates, and include stories that inspire. If you haven’t become a card-carrying member yet, here are some reasons to do so:
